Welcome to Northiam Primary School

Friendship – Trust – Justice – Fellowship

Northiam Primary School is a small and friendly village school on the border between East Sussex and Kent. Our school is a positive and welcoming place, where children are encouraged to fulfil their potential, become rounded individuals, and have fun. We are a small school, with a big heart – and with the highest expectations for our pupils.

Should you have any questions not answered by the information on this website then please feel free to contact the school, as we are always pleased to talk about the school and show people round.

Class teachers are usually available to talk to parents immediately before and after school.

We want each child to attain his or her maximum potential within a happy and disciplined school environment. At Northiam Primary School we help children to develop:

Lively, enquiring minds and a love of learning; the ability to question, to argue rationally and to think for themselves.

The ability to work hard and to succeed at tasks; to work independently and with other people.

A sense of self-respect, self-confidence, and self-reliance; an awareness of and sensitivity to the needs of others.

The knowledge, skills and practical abilities they will need throughout their lives, at work and play, in a fast moving world.

A reasoned set of personal attitudes, values and beliefs, an understanding of the world and their place in it; a respect for the religious and moral values of others.
