Honeybees Preschool

"Where every child flourishes and every day holds an abundance of opportunities."

Welcome to Honeybees Preschool!

At Honeybees Preschool, we believe every child deserves the very best start to their early learning journey. Our warm, nurturing and friendly environment is a place where children feel valued, supported and inspired every single day. We take a holistic approach to early childhood development, nurturing curiosity, independence, confidence and wellbeing.

A Truly Inclusive Setting
Inclusion lies at the very heart of Honeybees. As part of Northiam Primary School we proudly hold the Inclusion Quality Mark (IQM), recognising our commitment to ensuring that every child—regardless of their needs, background or starting point—can fully participate, thrive and succeed.
We welcome and celebrate all children and families. Our experienced practitioners offer thoughtful adaptations, early identification of need and high-quality teaching to ensure every child can access our curriculum and develop a strong sense of belonging.
A Rich Indoor and Outdoor Curriculum
Our curriculum is designed to spark joy, curiosity and deep engagement. From carefully planned indoor learning spaces to our extensive outdoor environment, children explore, investigate, problem-solve, develop early reading and maths skills, and grow their creativity and independence through meaningful play.
We are proud partners in the HALO Project (Healthy Active Little Ones), supporting children to develop lifelong healthy habits through physical activity, nutrition, wellbeing and outdoor exploration.
First Steps Into Our Friday Focus Enrichment Programme
As part of Northiam Primary School, Honeybees children experience early elements of the school's vibrant Friday Focus Enrichment Programme. These hands‑on, playful sessions provide a gentle introduction to wider learning experiences:
  • Wellbeing Warriors – supporting emotional literacy, mindfulness and self‑regulation
  • Farm School & Kitchen – caring for animals, understanding food origins and developing simple cooking skills
  • Forest School – woodland adventures that build resilience, teamwork and a love of nature
  • Performing Pioneers – music, dance, drama and storytelling to grow confidence and imagination
These enrichment opportunities help children feel confident, curious and ready for their transition into school life.
