Wednesday 11 June 2025 Year 5 Get Hands-On with Woodwork! Last week, Year 5 rolled up their sleeves and embraced the world of design and technology as they began constructing the chassis for their very own buggies. Equipped with rulers, saws, and plenty of enthusiasm, the children learned key woodwork skills including measuring, sawing, and fixing. It was wonderful to see their teamwork and creativity in action as they brought their designs to life. Stay tuned to see how their buggy creations evolve in the coming weeks!

Wednesday 11 June 2025 Year 6 Trip to Chessington – A Day to Remember! On Wednesday, Year 6 enjoyed a fantastic day out at Chessington World of Adventures. The children had an amazing time experiencing all the rides and attractions. Despite the long day, their behaviour was exemplary throughout, and they represented the school brilliantly. It was a memorable adventure filled with laughter, excitement, and lots of fun!

Thursday 5 June 2025 Year 6 Finish Well Being Warriors in Style! The Year 6 are the first Year Group to complete a full cycle of Well Being Warriors, and on Friday they finished it in style with a fantastic afternoon at Rye Water Sports,having the honour of being the first school group to take on the new obstacle course! The sun was shinning, and they had brilliant fun on the course with a very Brave Miss Lee and Michaela from Active Primary Sports. The water was cold, but it was amazing to have them all enjoying this final activity of the Well Being Warriors rotation!Year 6 Finish Well Being Warriors in Style!

Monday 12 May 2025 Year 6 enjoy a SAT's Yoga Session Last week in preparation for the SAT's taking place next week, the Year 6's enjoyed a Yoga Session with Hayley for Namaste Kids. The session concentrated on their breathing and feeling relaxed. Helping them to take away their stress and any anxiety they may be feeling. All the children found this very beneficial and really enjoyed the session, a couple even nearly went to sleep as they were so relaxed!

Thursday 24 April 2025 Copper Beech beach comb at Pett Level Children in Copper Beech thoroughly enjoyed their morning walking from Pett to Winchelsea along the beach, collecting shells and sea debris. This is part of our learning around Oceans. The children also engaged in a litter pick to help them to understand hazards of plastic in the ocean. Many thanks to Rye & Community for providing transport for this trip.

Thursday 27 February 2025 Copper Beech Experiment with Friction Copper Beech class carried out experiments to investigate friction in Science. They had great fun testing whether mass affects how far something can travel. Monday 10 February 2025 Copper Beech WW2 Anderson Shelters Some children in Copper Beech class had great fun designing and making models of an Anderson Shelter, as part of their work on World War 2. They even included vegetable gardens to show how people had to grow their own food.

Friday 7 February 2025 Copper Beech met a real Lord! Copper Beech were excited to have a meeting with Lord Man from the House of Lords. They asked him lots of questions about his role and even found out that he has had dinner with the King and is also Leeds Untied fan!
