Chestnut Class Weekly Update W/c 10th Nov

What an amazing week we’ve had in Chestnut Class! The children have been diving into lots of new learning and showing fantastic enthusiasm.

Design & Technology: We’ve started our new topic on torches! The children explored how circuits work and experimented with connecting components to make bulbs light up. There were lots of “wow” moments as they discovered how electricity flows

.Music: Our classroom has been filled with energy as we began singing in canon to the song “We Are Vikings.” It’s been wonderful to hear the children’s voices blending together and building confidence in performing.

Maths: This week, we introduced multiplication and division. The children have been learning about sharing and grouping, using practical activities to make sense of these important concepts.

RE: We’re excited to welcome Arabella this term, who is guiding us through the Creation Story. The children have been asking thoughtful questions and reflecting on what beginnings mean in different beliefs.

PSHE: To support wellbeing, we’ve started yoga sessions! The children loved learning calming poses and relaxation techniques—perfect for helping us feel focused and ready to learn.

It’s been a fantastic start to the term, full of curiosity and creativity. We can’t wait to see what next week brings!
