Sparkles, Shapes, and Super Skills: A Whirlwind Week at Honey Bees!

What a dazzling, dynamic, and wonderfully educational week it's been here at Honey Bees! Our little learners have been buzzing with curiosity, creativity, and a healthy dose of enthusiasm as we dove headfirst into a fantastic range of activities.

Our week kicked off with enthusiastic explorations of Mat Man, a beloved friend who helps us understand our bodies and develop crucial fine motor skills. Little hands carefully piecing together heads, bodies, arms, and legs wasn't just fun; it was a fantastic workout for those tiny fingers, laying crucial groundwork for future writing and drawing. As we built Mat Man, we excitedly chatted about the different parts of the body, with a chorus of "That's my elbow!" and "My head goes here!" filling the room. It's been wonderful to see our Honey Bees not only build Mat Man but also draw their own incredible body creations, showing off their growing awareness and control.

We participated in Art Factory this week, as we welcomed Miss Stuart for a very special project! The air was alive with excitement as we embarked on creating firework-inspired art on fabric. Oohs and aahs filled the air as children experimented with bold colours and dazzling patterns, bringing the explosive beauty of fireworks to life on soft fabric squares. It was a wonderful opportunity for imaginative expression and to explore a new medium beyond paper. We can't wait to see the final display of these unique, textile masterpieces!

Over in our Maths corner, we welcomed a brand-new number! Our Honey Bees have been excitedly exploring the number three. We counted three buttons, found three friends, and held up three fingers with glee. The concept of "three" is really sinking in! And who better to introduce the brand-new concept of "tall" than our beloved Concept Cat! With Concept Cat's playful guidance, we stretched, we compared, we pointed to everything tall around us.
