Spirals, Snails, and Saying Thanks: A Busy Week at Honeybees!

It's been a whirlwind of activity and discovery at Honeybees this week, filled with exploration, creativity, and heart warming celebrations! We've been deep diving into the fascinating world of spirals and patterns, with a particular focus on those slow and steady creatures, snails!

Our little ones have been honing their fine motor skills by getting hands-on with snail-inspired creations. Tiny fingers have been busy drawing intricate snail spirals in the sand, carefully recreating their swirling forms with pebbles. This activity not only fuelled their imaginations but also provided a fantastic opportunity to develop their dexterity and coordination.

Beyond the fascinating world of snails, we revisited our rhyme of the week, "Wind the Bobbin Up." We brought the rhyme to life by adding actions, encouraging movement and engagement. We also explored the repeating patterns inherent in the rhyme, seamlessly linking it to mathematical concepts and building a foundation for future pattern recognition.

The highlight of our week was undoubtedly our Father's Day celebrations! We kicked things off with a delicious Father's Day breakfast, followed by a wonderful "Stay and Play" session on Friday. It was a joy to see the children sharing their activities and spaces with their fathers, creating precious memories and celebrating the special bond they share. A huge thank you to all the fathers who joined us - your presence made the celebrations truly special!
