Willow Class Round UP!

With the sports day events, it's been a very busy week in Willow! We had a great time supporting our house teams by cheering them on and trying our hardest!

In Talk for Writing, Willow class have thoroughly enjoyed innovating the story 'Rosie's Walk' and changing the characters in the story to create our own version: 'Timmy's Walk'. We thought very hard to make sure the characters we chose made sense. We had discussions about what animals like to eat others and as a class we chose the mouse 'Timmy' being followed by the naughty cat who wants to eat him. This is preparing us for creating our own story books, sequencing the events and writing our own step by step story book. To be continued...

Patterns Alive!!

This week has been all about patterns. We have explored patterns with colours, shapes, objects, actions and even sounds. We have created our own patterns and have really enjoyed mirroring them back to each other. The game 'Simon says' has really helped up to think outside the box about how we can use our bodies to create different patterns for our friends to copy.

Diocese of Chichester Academy Trust

We exist to provide a first-class option for schools choosing to become an academy. We currently have twenty two schools making up our Trust, each maintaining its own unique character and identity, serving its own distinct community.
