Willow Class visit Great Dixter

Another super busy week last week in Willow class, starting off with a very busy and exciting class trip to Great Dixter! The day was filled with sketching flowers in the gardens, printing our drawings, pond dipping, insect hunting and finally spending the afternoon in the cool woods. We built animal homes, dens and had a fire, cooking pancakes whilst singing some songs. Great Dixter did not fail to impress Willow Class, and the adults too!

Rock Steady workshop - This week we were lucky enough to have Rock Steady come into school, introducing instruments such as: the keyboard, bass, electric guitar and electric drums. The children were encouraged to try some of the instruments out and together we made a 'Northiam band'. This inspired the children during their play in Willow class and they have made their own guitars and microphones out of paper to create their own 'Willow band' together.

In Talk for Writing, we have continued to work on our own books, drawing pictures and becoming an 'author' by writing sentences for our book. This is a working process!
