Year 6 Learn Calligraphy in Art Factory

As part of their book illustration project, the Year 6 children had a visit from Calligrapher Jan Turner during this week's Friday Focus. They experienced everything, from matching the correct writing tool to the correct lettering (who knew there were so many!?!) , to writing with feathers dipped in ink! We did wonder if we could get away with using a very wide block tool to write our Sats next year and if it would speed things up a little! The children all had wonderful fun and learned a host of new skills.
